Services Provided by Partnership in Philanthropy
The Partnership in Philanthropy provides the following services to its client organizations:
Assessment - Each participant organization undergoes a comprehensive
"Fund Raising/Management Capacity Assessment", which makes use of tools designed
by the Partnership to establish a base line that details the organization's
strengths and weaknesses and defines PIP's areas of service.
Board Profile - The organization's volunteer structure is reviewed to determine its strengths
and areas of expertise and outreach that are absent and in need of development.
Hands-on Consulting - A competent, experienced NJ fundraising professional is
assigned to work directly with the participant organization for a 9 to 12 month
period. PIP consultants receive a below market rate honorarium of $50 per hour
and agree to donate 1 hour of pro bono service for every two hours for which
they are compensated.
Workshops and Training - A series of formal training
sessions and workshops are given by PIP professionals for staff and volunteers
of the participant organizations.
Annual Fund Raising Plan Model - At the
conclusion of the on-site service, participants are presented a model Annual
Fund Raising Plan tailored to their specific organization. Included with this
plan are a series of additional components that can be added by the organization
as its capacity grows to meet increased needs.
Re-Assessment - The conclusion of PIP's on-site service is a repeat of the "Fundraising/Management Capacity
Assessment" to formally measure progress and define a "To Do" list to keep the
progress moving forward.
Hot Line Services - Access to advise and answers to
pressing questions are available from Partnership Staff or Consultants.
Annual Follow-up - There is an annual on-site visit by the Partnership Staff and/or
Consultant to monitor progress and/or trouble shoot problems.
