What Clients Say

"For the first time in its twenty-five year history, our not-for-profit organization, the Arts & Education Center, faced a shortfall in funding that could not be covered by program revenues. Our Board of Directors had never engaged in any meaningful fundraising and lacked both the expertise and temperament to begin doing so. It was at this moment in our organization's history that we were awarded a grant by Partnership in Philanthropy (PIP). The PIP grant provided our organization with an in-house fundraising consultant and supported the development of our Board of Directors through their ongoing training programs. The PIP intervention was instrumental in assisting us to develop our Board and to provide them with a solid understanding of organization responsibility and the "Why" and "How to" of fundraising. With the help of PIP we were able to develop and implement an annual fund raising campaign which has become a significant source of our organization's funding. Even more importantly, the PIP consultancy gave our organization the tools to transform itself from a struggling not-for-profit to a healthy and growing entity that will serve us long into the future."

Tony Petito - Executive Director, Arts & Education Center, Matawan, NJ

"The Atlantic Riding Center for the Handicapped worked with PIP for a year. With their dedication and guidance, ARCH was able to help increase the effectiveness of our board, increase our fundraising efforts and tighten up and expand the overall capabilities of our therapeutic horseback riding program for the disabled. Through attending seminars, having an open mind and allowing changes to take place, we have become a stronger and improved organization continuing to provide a needed service in our community. Thank you Les and Becky."

Sue Adams - Executive Director, Atlantic Riding Center for the Handicapped, Egg Harbor, NJ

"We aligned ourselves with Partnership in Philanthropy in 2004 and the work we did through that organization was our turning point. We have made great progress in the past two years as a result of our PIP training. PIP did a wonderful job matching our corporate personality and needs with a skilled and resourceful consultant, Janice Alderman, who guided us with a firm but gentle hand throughout a long and sometime painful process. Senior Services now has a much clearer fundraising goal and in 2005 raised the largest amount in its history through its annual fundraising effort. In addition the Senior Services Board of Trustees expanded and developed a long-range plan that is now being implemented."

Micki Chaput - Executive Director, Senior Services of the Chathams, Chatham, NJ

What Funders Say

"In an increasingly complicated environment for charitable giving, investing in the long-term capacity and strength of the non-profits we care about is essential. When non-profits are working with PIP it gives donors the confidence they need that their investment is well managed, protected. PIP's trainings build board strength and help diversify funding sources in a way that brings the stability and capacity so that our nonprofits can expand services to better serve our communities. By investing in PIP we can build healthier and stronger nonprofits, communities and lives."

Hans Dekker - President, Community Foundation of New Jersey, Morristown, NJ

"PIP is one of those technical organizations that really does what it is supposed to do. We've gotten some excellent feedback from organizations that always have really good programs but have trouble either promoting the, or raising funds, or with the functioning of their boards. And PIP has really made a difference."

Mary Puryear - Program Officer, The Prudential Foundation, Newark, NJ
